Renewing Your Arkansas Concealed Handgun Carry License (CHCL) Made Easy!

Your Arkansas CHCL is valid for 5 years from the issue date. To renew, you don’t need to retake the full class—just a brief session to refresh on law changes and demonstrate proficiency.

Renewal Process:

• Time Required: Approximately 30 minutes.
• What We Do: Spend some time with you going over major changes to CHCL laws and rules and we watch you demonstrate safety and proficiency with the handgun of your choice. (Rentals Available)

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be within 90 days of CHCL expiration or no more than 6 months expired.
• Complete the Renewal Application (Instructions and Application Links Below).
  • Tip: Apply online to speed up processing—this lets us electronically submit proof of your training to the state.

Who Should Attend:

Anyone needing to renew their Arkansas CHCL, provided it hasn’t been expired longer than 6 months.

What to Bring:

• ID: Government-issued photo ID / Expiring Arkansas CHCL.
• Gear: Ear and eye protection.
• Firearm: Personal semi-automatic firearm (unloaded and cased).
• Ammunition: 20-50 rounds.
• Extras: 2 magazines
• Pen and Paper (optional).
• Clothing: Comfortable, appropriate for shooting (no open-toed shoes or low-cut clothing). Recommended: Baseball-style hat.
• Note: Holsters allowed at the instructor's discretion.

Cancellation and Transfer Policy:

• Training courses are non-refundable but may be rescheduled up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled class date.
• The first transfer is complimentary. Subsequent transfers may incur a fee.
• Classes canceled less than 48 hours before the scheduled date will not be rescheduled.
